Patrick Reed Completes Wire-to-Wire Victory at Humana Challenge
By mustang6560 on 1/21/14

Last week, Jimmy Walker doubled his PGA Tour win total by winning the Sony Open at Waialae.

Yesterday, Patrick Reed also doubled his PGA Tour win total by completing the rare wire-to-wire victory at the Humana Challenge at PGA West.

The difference between the two? 12 years — Patrick is only 23-years-old.
After shooting three straight 9-under 63s to open a seven-stroke lead, Reed had a 1-under 71 on Sunday at PGA West's to beat Ryan Palmer by two strokes.

"A lot tougher than the first three rounds," Reed said. "My speed was off today. I left a lot of putts short. It seemed like the first three days the ball was just trickling over the front edge, and today it seemed like it came to a screeching halt."
In addition to having his wife (who is on maternity leave as his caddie) and family there to celebrate with him, Patrick also received a congratulatory phone call from former U.S. President Bill Clinton.
"I always play to try to prove to everybody that I belong out here," Reed said. "As well as, I belong, not only out here on the PGA TOUR, but also with the best players in the world."
We believe, Patrick. We believe. In fact, we would not be surprised to see the Spring, TX-resident win one of the major championships in 2014. He has the talent and the determination to be a force on the PGA Tour for years.
