What better to place to hire a replacement caddy than from the ranks of semi-retired professional... surfers?

According to CBS Sports, this is precisely what 2013 Masters champion Adam Scott is doing. With his regular looper, Steve Williams, off this week to race in the New Zealand Super Saloon Championship, Scott asked pro surfer Benji Weatherley to haul his bag at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

According to Stephanie Wei, the two are well-acquainted. Says the pro surfer dude:
"I've been on four surf trips with him around the world. I'm always here around this time and I saw him in New York a few months ago and he asked if I wanted to caddie and I said, 'yeah, why not.' It's really fun because I love golf, but I've never been this close to a tournament.

"Golf is the same as surfing — it's just you and you can't blame anyone else. It's you against the elements. I'm going to be like his life coach and try to give him confidence. He’s just so good."
