Tiger Dominates Again By mustang6560 on 8/5/13
The WGC-Bridgestone Invitational was over by Friday afternoon.
Tiger Woods opened birdie, eagle, birdie in the second round of the With five holes left to play, Tiger only needed to birdie two holes to join the short 59 list. The feat seemed inevitable. But Tiger parred out to finish with a course record-tying 9-under-par 61, which opened an insurmountable lead over the field and officially turned the weekend at Firestone into a PGA Championship warm-up. His victory Sunday might not have been a nail-biter, but it was impressive nonetheless. The win was his fifth of the season and eighth at the WGC-Bridgestone. Tiger only needs four more victories to pass Sam Snead (82) with the most career victories on the PGA Tour. Alas, all five victories will be in vain if Tiger doesn't win the PGA Championship at Oak Hill this week. If Tiger goes another full season without a major championship victory, the golf commentators will continue to ask "What's wrong?" about Tiger's game.
