The Splendor at St. Andrews!
By mustang6560 on 10/8/12
In the first round of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, Michael Phelps drained a 50-yard putt to earn "Shot of the Day" honors. The Olympian-turned-amateur-golfer looked poised to capture his first "Shot of the Tournament" title until two corporate bigwigs pulled off the "Splendor of St. Andrews".

Playing alongside Joel Sjoholm in the final round of the Dunhill, said nabobs both managed to hit their tee shots out of bounds on the 18th hole at St. Andrews, but neither ball stayed out of bounds. Somehow, someway (corporate conspiracy?) both of their golf balls ricocheted off the streets of St. Andrews and safely returned to the fairway.

I've seen a lot of goofy things happen in my young golf career, but I've never seen a golf ball hit "Out of Bounds" miraculously return to the fairway.
