Never Have I Ever... By mustang6560 on 2/9/12
Never Have I Ever, like golf, is a game played by gentlemen. And just like golf, Never Have I Ever requires its players to be honest and act with integrity. So now's the time to clean out the skeleton's in your golf closet and answer this week's question.
Never, have I ever, called someone out on the golf course for cheating. I've never accused a playing partner of cheating on the golf course. However, I almost did at the World Am last fall. One of the guys in my group hit underneath a leafy bush near the green and to address the ball, he lined up and he backed into the bush essentially moving it out of the way. It didn't look right buy the guy riding in my cart said it was legal so I didn't bother making a stink about it. Your turn. Have the perfect "Never Have I Ever" question? Email me here. photo by sillygwailo [ comments ] I did call out someone I was playing with in a golf league approx 3 years ago. He hit his tee shot under a tree/shrub and was against the trunk of the tree/shrub. I stood at a distance and watched him pull his ball away from the trunk approx 2 feet. I walked up to him and saw his initial lie and said, bummer of a lie, you can't have much of a shot from there. After he pulled the ball away from the trunk, I said "You have a shot now that you pulled the ball away from the trunk". He proceeded to hit the shot onto the green and parred the hole. Part of the issue was that he was 3 sheets to the wind and later claimed that he didn't remember pulling the ball away from the tree/shrub trunk. He is a good friend of mine and I was quite surprised at his actions and later denial. The entire incident caused quite a stir in our golf league over what happened and what should have been done. 2/12/12
