Rory McIlroy Is Leading Another Major
By mustang6560 on 6/17/11
Look who's back on top of the U.S. Open leaderboard? Rory McIlroy!

Many people wondered how he would bounce back in his first major since his final round meltdown at The Masters. And boy did he answer emphatically! Rory carded an opening round bogey-free six-under par 65.
"It felt like quite a simple 65," McIlroy said. "I didn't do much wrong."

"I felt comfortable with my game and comfortable on the golf course," McIlroy said. "And when you have that combination like that, everything's OK."
I know I said I'm rooting for Bubba Watson, Sergio Garcia and Graeme McDowell to win, but I've changed my mind. I'm not rooting for Rory McIlroy to win the U.S. Open because he makes things interesting.

Of all the players entered in the field, there are only a few who have the ability to captivate a crowd like Tiger used to. Rory is one of them. If the field is not carefully, Rory may run away with this tournament before it even really starts. He's now -10 under and he's only played eight holes so far today.
