Seve Ballesteros' Health Deteriorates Further
By mustang6560 on 5/6/11
Seve Ballesteros' health has been in decline since being diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in 2008. After undergoing brain surgery and chemotherapy to remove the tumor, it looked like Seve would make a full recovery.

But his health has taken a turn for the worst according to his family.
"The Ballesteros family informs that Seve's neurological condition has suffered a severe deterioration," a statement on the golfer's website said. "The family will inform accordingly about any change in his health condition and takes this opportunity of thanking everyone for the support that both Seve and his own family have been receiving during all this time."
The three time British Open and two time Masters champ was honored last month at The Masters by Phil Mickelson. The 2010 winner Mickelson, who has great respect and admiration for the Spaniard, chose a Spanish themed menu for the Champions Dinner to let Seve know his presence was sorely missed at Augusta. Seve made a few public appearances in 2009, but has not been seen in public much since last year when he fell from a golf cart and hit his head.

It's hard to hear about someone you love suffering, especially someone like Seve. I know the thoughts and prayers of the golf community are with Seve and his family.
