Virtual Layout of August National
By mustang6560 on 3/29/11
Need to refresh your course knowledge of Augusta National? No problem.

In anticipation of The Masters, Golf Digest put together a virtual layout of Augusta National. Each hole features a virtual flyover, short description and course information including par, yards, average score from 2010 and since 1942 and hole index from 2010 and since 1942.

Augusta National has been notorious for being private. But, I think it's really cool that they seem to be opening up more and more each year. I'm still waiting for the day when we can watch every moment of The Masters and not be stuck with just the last three hours of each day.

A part from being the only major tournament to be at the same venue every year, The Masters has a distinct allure that adds to its mystique. I think part of it is the fact that they name everything. You have "Amen Corner", "Rae's Creek", "The Big Oak Tree" and they nicknamed every hole after a tree or shrub.

Without Googling, can anyone name all 18 nicknames?

Being in Georgia probably all are named Peach XXXX (something) lol. I think they are named after trees, flowers, or both.

Yes, but it would be worse than Googling. I have last year's book from the event. I was there.
