East Lake Golf Club
2575 Alston Dr SE
Atlanta, GA 30317-3333, United States

This course debuted in 1904 with a design by Scottish-American architect Tom Bendelow, but then Donald Ross completely redesigned the layout in 1913, which became the home course to legendary golfer Bobby Jones.

In 1994, architect Rees Jones restored Ross' original layout, which now plays to 7,267 yards. The most talked-about hole is the 168-yard par-3 fifteenth, which plays from an elevated tee to a diagonally angled peninsula green. This particular green complex existed on the original 1904 Tom Bendelow course, and was one of the first island greens in the United States.

With the 1913 Ross layout, East Lake hosted the 1950 U.S. Women's Amateur and the 1963 Ryder Cup. With the Jones redesign, the course hosted the 2001 U.S. Amateur and is now the host of the PGA Tour's season-ending Tour Championship.

East Lake is a private, walking-only golf club. Carts are available only to those who have a state-issued handicap certificate.

Always a treat to play East Lake. Playing front 9 (old back) and seeing the Atlanta skyline is priceless. No need for sky caddie. My caddie Chris was one of the best.

Rates in the Top 3 courses I've played. You could feel the presence of the Greats that have played there in the past.
