Florence Golf Links

Formerly known as Sandpines Golf Links, Florence Golf Links is nestled amidst the wind swept sand dunes and towering pines, golf does not get any more breathtaking. Sculpted by nature, this wonderful scene provided a delightful canvas for world-renowned golf course architect Rees Jones to create a magnificent array of holes.

Bringing the natural feel of the pine forest and crystal blue lakes into play on the outward nine gives one the feel of golf commonly found on the Monterey Peninsula or the woods of the Carolinas. The inward nine takes you back to golf's more traditional arena - the links land. Using the natural lay of the land, Jones brought the dune element to the forefront of the game from tee to green. Challenging yet generous, this course offers beginners and experienced golfers alike a chance to test their skills and indulge their senses.

The course was in fantastic shape, the greens were really in the best shape I have ever seen them. We always play Sandpines, when we are in the area. Love the course.

A very good golf course, but not the links course I was expecting. Much of it is among the trees, with soft fairways and receptive greens. Does not play like a links course. Would I play it again? No doubt.

A must play on your way to/from bandon

Wonderful layout but the course was in pretty bad shape. The fairways were very sparse (in June). They were like most courses up here in very early spring. For what they charge, I expected a little more.

This coastal course provides a very scenic yet relaxing challenge. A poorly maintained practice range doesn't do the course justice.

It's really awesome when the wind is not blowing. When it is it is a definite challenge. Loved it!
