Mare Island Golf Club was established in 1892, making it the oldest course west of the Mississippi. Recently expanded back to a full 18-hole facility by renowned Pacific Rim architect Robin Nelson, the new course is designed to challenge golfers of all abilities. Half of the holes wind through tree-lined fairways, while the other half offers a more links-style journey. The majority of holes offer a magnificent view of San Pablo Bay, the Napa River, Mt. Tamalpais and on a clear day the Golden Gate Bridge. No other Bay Area course has more panoramic vistas.

They need to add pin point for the SGXW.

The staff is friendly and welcomes new players. It's a fun course worth playing again.

If you want to get good roll off the fairways golf here. Your ball will roll and roll and roll. Hit my longest drive ever by 60 yds!

Nice to play on a course with some history. Front 9 is interesting and varied with some great views of San Pablo Bay. Close to the water keeps summer temperatures tolerable. Back nine is really pretty cool Links-Style with some considerable elevation changes and lovely views of the bay.
