This private country club is located at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains in Indian Wells, California. Architect Larry Hughes did the original design when the course opened in 1957, but Tom Fazio oversaw a major rebuild in 2003.

The club is perhaps best-known as one of U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower's favorite courses, as well as for hosting the 1959 Ryder Cup matches (United States 8½ – Great Britain 3½). That was the last time the Ryder Cup has been played in the Pacific Time Zone.
