Belvedere Golf Course

Charlevoix, MI 49720-0218, United States

To play the Belvedere is to enjoy the product of a proud, meticulous golf course designer, Scotsman William Watson. Today, his attention to detail and respect for the land is evident in the carved fescue fairways and seaside bent greens. Belvedere is an old style course which plays to a par 72, 6715 yards and offers challenging 3 and 4 pars with 5 pars that reward aggressive play for birdie and eagle opportunities.

Kind of pricey for an old-design golf course without a lot of extra amenities. It has the look and feel of an old classic and there is quite a lot of Michigan golf history associated with Belvedere. The MI Amateur was played here for many years and thus many top golfers came through while still amateurs. Being away from any lakes, the scenery is rolling woods and grasslands. A busy road bisects the two nines.

If you are in Charlevoix, play it, but don't make a long side trip just for Belvedere.

Nice playable course. Great Value. Great Greens.

A nice, \"old fashioned\" classic course. Great deal if you have the \"Up North Golf Card\". Fun to play, but you have to play it aggressively, particularly if there is any wind.
