Good bang for you buck. Tight course, worth playing.

Challenging course set on the banks of the Pelahatchie creek. The course starts off with the easily the hardest hole on the course where the approach to the green is atop a very high bluff. The rest of the holes on the front nine are narrow canyons cut through tall pines.

The back I consider the "swamp" nine and is wider with more water. The course finishes in a dramatic way with what I think are the 3 best holes on the course 15, 16, 17. The 15th, which I would consider the signature hole, has a wide scenic view from atop a high bluff to the green below almost completely surrounded by water. The 16th has a huge single pine in the middle of the large landing zone and is nestled directly beside duck weed covered shaded cypress swamp. On the 17th I highly recommend at least visiting the red/yellow tee box for a panoramic view of a large open swamp.

The course recently cut back a lot of undergrowth and it is much less frustrating to play now. If you haven't tried this course in more than two years you should try again. Most of the 3 rankings I gave is because of this past problem and they had water troubles two years ago and the tees and greens suffered. I'm hoping this year everything is back to where it should be.
