I moved to Cameron Park 18 months ago and was looking for a golf course in the mountains. Well this is it. Its beautiful - azaleas, rhododendrons. dogwoods below the towering pines, oaks and redwoods. Its a difficult course but worth the price. Its always in great condition and the greens are very good. It about 10 degrees cooler here than in the valley. My overall is only 4 stars only because of the difficulty.

Played 10/23/13 for the second time. Beautiful as ever, but the greens were like putting on ice and the pin placements were murder. Once again had a good experience and will play again.

I live close, so I use this facility for practice and lessons. Driving range, putting green and vast short game area mimic the course and you'll be thankful for it. Great, friendly staff and great views. Every hole is a postcard. Greens were punched 2 months or so ago and are in fine shape. Situated in Apple Hill Tourist area around wineries, Christmas Tree farms, apple orchards and the tourist stops.. Tough course. Must have a cart and must be able to walk up and down hills at about 2700 feet elevation. Bring your A game. Grill and Bar are fine. Enjoy a real experience you should try at least once.

This course is a challenge , but I would love to try again, I birded the hardest hole, with a 30 ft. put.

A beautiful/tough course that everyone needs to play and experience.

Narrow fairways, lots of trees, you have to play this one smart or it will beat you up. The driver is not always the smartest club to use but there are a couple of holes you can let the big dog hunt. The greens are usually pretty good. Excelent practice area.

Greens were the worst I've ever seen at Apple Mountain. Pitted, dry, browning. Apple Mountain usually has great greens, but seemed poorly maintained this time. Rest of the course was beautiful. Pace was 4.25 hrs as a threesome.

Just a gorgous course. Every hole, every tee is breathtaking. There is not a level hole from tee to green on the course. Take your time and take a minute to enjoy the views. Great course.
