Morningstar Golf Club is a semi-private 18-hole course that opened in 1991 on the east side of Indianapolis. One interesting quirk here is the presence of two consecutive par-3s at 11 and 12. Owner, founder, and PGA teaching professional Steve Seibel designed this course to genuinely accommodate beginners and higher-handicap players, not just accomplished golfers - the course stretches from 3,872 to 6,499 yards. So perhaps not surprisingly, the course was recognized by Golf For Women magazine as one of their "Top 100 Fairways for Women."

A mid-1800s barn was renovated for use as the clubhouse; it includes a dining room with a capacity of 70. The non-member walking rate for 18 holes is $20, while a senior rate and other specials are listed on the club's web site.
