Brickyard Crossing Golf Course
4400 W 16th St
Indianapolis, IN 46222-2512, United States

All marketing hype aside, Brickyard Crossing really is one of the more unique golf experiences in the world, since four holes and two water hazards are located inside the famous 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The first golf course ("Speedway Golf Course") was developed by one-time owner and war hero Eddie Rickenbacker, and opened in 1929. That course actually hosted a PGA Tour event from 1960-68, coinciding with the annual 500 race. After the original course was bulldozed, Indiana native Pete Dye designed the current course, which opened in 1993 and hosted a Senior Tour event from 1994-2000, as well as the 1999 Indiana Open.

The course is located about five miles northwest of downtown Indianapolis. The standard rate (with cart) is $90.

I played Brickyard Crossing twice within the same week. The first was a scramble event and it was so memorable that we went back to play as a foursome two days later. The course is immaculate and the opportunities to view the speedway both inside and out are amazing. The greens roll true and are not as fast as you may initially think. I would recommend this course for anyone visiting Indy.

The course was absolutely in perfect condition, the fairways and greens were immaculate, rough was punishing but not unplayable. Make sure you play the proper tees or you will be destroyed. If you play the proper tees, you will have a blast. This course should be on everyone's bucket list.

Beautiful course in an awesome location (4 holes inside of Indianapolis Motor Speedway). However, the cost, $90/rd is just way too high for a course in central Indiana.

Very unique course built around the Indianapolis 500 Speedway. Four holes inside the track with an unusual view. Beautiful course with a stream flowing through it.
