Indian Springs Ranch Golf Course is set at the foot of the western edge of the Rockies in Northwest Montana. Natural design was a priority. Our goal was to set the golf course into the natural movement of the property and to mirror some of that movement into the contours of the green surfaces and fairway mounds. We feel that a golf course shouldn’t detract from the natural appearance of the surrounding countryside of rolling grasslands. We have gone to great lengths to ensure that ours doesn’t. The result is limited greenscape nestled into the brown prairie grasses. The portion of the course between the tees and landing areas are natural grasses. This
makes for a unique visual appearance.

A nice little surprise I didn't have very high hopes as it is located along a highway. This quickly changed as soon as I pulled in. Very friendly staff met me at my car with a cart even though I intended to walk the course, it was nice not to have to walk to the club house. Every one was very nice and upbeat. They provided a nice little course book, which comes in extremely handy, and a sheet with the days pin locations, also very handy. They boast a nice little practice facility, not the best but still pretty nice.
As to the course itself, it is very tricky. The course designer and greens keeper punish errant shots. If you miss the fairway your ball is likely gone. The fairways are surrounded by long native grass making finding your lost ball a true challenge. On the plus side you will likely find someone else's ball. Yardage control is also important here as it is vital to hit landing spots. The greens are well maintained and offer a nice challenge.
Some of the views offered are very nice, not breathtaking but still nice.
On the whole a nice course but if spray the ball it may not be for you. At very least bring a lot of cheap balls because you will need them.
