This course dates to 1911 and a design by Scottish professional John Stone. Following a real estate purchase in 995, four new holes debuted in 1997, which increased the overall length by some 400 meters. New 5th and 6th holes debuted in May of 2003.

Visitors and societies are welcome; the visitor walking rates are £20 on weekdays, £25 on weekends and bank holidays. Stay-and-play packages are also available.
