Orange Tree Golf Club
10601 N 56th St
Scottsdale, AZ 85254-4807, United States

As the name implies, the course was built over a former orange grove and still features hundreds of deciduous trees. The original design here was by architect Larry Hughes and the late PGA Tour player Johnny Bulla. The course was recently purchased by Scottsdale Golf Group from Shell Vacations Hospitality. Well-known instructor John Jacobs has a teaching academy here, as well.

Rates shown below are for December 25 through April 4; shoulder season and summer rates are all lower. Loyalty cards and other specials are available from the club's web site.

Course is nice enough. Good value for the money.

Nice average course but they don't charge $200 for a round either. Fair and nice change from the top/tuff courses.

excellent course and accommadations

Average course you can see the green from most of the tees so its just a hitting competition water on a few holes but apart from a couple of holes nothing special. Oh even the giraffe on the 10th has gone.

tough pin placements greens were hard fly off the back..

Bunkers were hard as a rock. Fairways and fringe areas had poor growth of grass and fairways were thin in many spots. Nice layout and hole differences were few but adequate.

Boring course
  crimedog01 - 2/1/12
no sand in the bunkers Greens were really nice to putt on but they were very hard. Trying to stop the ball was next to impossable.

Beyond boring. Its pretty much a municipal course that may have been nice years ago. Pretty much all holes are straight and a few look nice around the clubhouse, but when you get you you know you have been had. You can play the second course over at the TPC which is much better and cost $15 less.
