Seven courses are at this resort, which is actually one of three separate locations of Mission Hills Golf Resort in China.

PETE DYE COURSE: (Pete Dye)
This course was Dye's first design in China and is advertised as being significantly different from the 11 other Mission Hills courses. This 6,800-yard layout was designed for easy walking and features some of Dye's usual architectural elements -- large waste areas, 178 bunkers (including many small pot bunkers), railroad ties used as sleepers, and tall native grasses.

ELS COURSE: (Ernie Els)
This long (7,049 yards) and heavily-wooded course features a considerable among of water and streams, but only 55 bunkers, some of which are grass-faced. The tee at number 4 is the highest elevation on the course, while another feature is that Els avoided parallel holes in the design.

FALDO COURSE (Nick Faldo)
This is advertised as being China's first "stadium course" and includes a drivable par-4 at 15 and an island green at 16. A moderate number of water hazards and 71 bunkers guard this course, which hosts the annual Grand Final for the Faldo Series Asia junior tournament.

OZAKI COURSE (Masashi "Jumbo" Ozaki)
The most accomplished golfer in Japan's history included 104 bunkers and large greens in this design. Nine holes are lit for evening play.

VIJAY COURSE (Vijay Singh)
This 6,833-yard layout features 64 bunkers, some of which are grass-faced, and water on 14 holes. A couple of quirks here include a 150-yard "beach bunker" on 3, and two consecutive par-5s at 10 and 11.

WORLD CUP COURSE (Jack Nicklaus, 1994)
This course hosted the World Cup of Golf in 1995 and features many water hazards and 87 bunkers.

ZHANG LIANWEI COURSE: (Zhang Lianwei)
The designer here was the first Chinese golfer to compete in the Masters Tournament. This is a 2,393-yard executive layout with just 35 bunkers, but water is in play on every hole. Also interesting is that copies of the "Postage Stamp" green from Royal Troon, some Ross-style turtle-back greens, a Redan hole, and a down-sized copy of the Road Hole from Saint Andrews are among the architectural elements here.
