Rated in the top 50 courses in Illinois the Fox Lake Country Club ia a beautiful 18 hole public golf course. The course has Bent Grass greens and Bluegrass fairways. The rolling terrain and the water hazards make this course both beautiful and challenging. Although the Club is open to the public, the course offers facilities on par with some of the most prestigious private courses.

Not very impressed with this golf course at all. Too many blind shots from the fairway. Some of the greens to severe (pitch wise) to accept the proper club, not to mention to be able to putt. Although they were nice upon check in, that is the only positive I got out of it. I will not return here.
