Straight forward layout. Extremely well maintained. Tee Boxes, Fairways and Greens all in excellent shape. Greens all rolled true.

Parkland layout muni course. It has a 70's Larry Packard feel to it. I have played a few of his other courses and it felt like the same course. With that in mind I found the course mostly uninteresting and not very challenging. Mostly scenic course, except the eastern boundary is I-294, the course looses some of it's serenity. House along the course, but I did not find them tight OB or really coming into play compared to other courses. Water did not seem to come into play very often. Greens were in decent shape and seemed to roll true, though did not seem very fast. Course was a little beat up due to recent storms. A few dozen trees were knocked down, but none that seemed to be in play. Just a few near the tee boxes or along the cart path between holes. Pro shop was without power because of this storm, but handled things OK. The starters seemed a little disorganized and not too friendly. Pace of play was poor, with a slow threesome and a mother with 3 kids whacking up the fairway. At $58 for 18 with a cart at the resident rate, not a very good value overall, but perhaps OK for the North side. I would expect a course like this to be about $35-40 on a weekday.

GPS in the carts. Bev service OK. Pro shop has some equipment, mostly apparel.
