Architect Marc Westenborg created one of the longest courses in all of Europe by running the course over 300 acres along the River Tees, include three lakes created for the design. Five sets of tees can accommodate pretty much all levels of players. A 300-yard practice range, with both covered and grass teaching bays, a short-game practice area with fairway bunkers and a practice putting green are also available.

The club also advertises a 14,000 sq-ft clubhouse with changing rooms, a spikes bar, and a lounge bar with an all-day menu.

Visitors are welcome at this semi-private resort course Mondays through Fridays.

Great course, every time I play there it gets better and better. Staff are all very friendly.

Absolutely fantastic course, and great value.
Staff and facilities are second to none.
Millionaires golf for working mans affordability.
If I had 1 complaint it would be that drinks are a tad expensive, but other than that, get yourself there and play a first rate course.

I have played twice now. First time in the rain and cold in October 2012; this time in much better weather and enjoyed it more.

A very good course, which can only get better with time. Hospitality and food, spot on.

Nice course, would like to play off the gold or black tees rather than the yellow!

A real test of golf with difficult greens, strategically placed bunkers and water hazards. The course can alter each time you play it due to the options for pin positions and the wind variations can totally alter how you try to play the course. Clubhouse facilities and staff first class. Well worth playing if you get the chance.

Very diisappointed - layout and condition very over rated - maybe ok in 15 to 20 years time
far too expensive
