Erin Hills Golf Course
7169 County Highway O
Erin, WI 53027-9786, United States

262.670.8600
When this design by Dr. Michael Hurdzan, Dana Fry, and Ron Whitten opened, it attracted a tremendous amount of attention for its strikingly authentic and rolling links-feel; the architects needed to move earth only on four holes. Since 2009, Hurdzan and Fry have overseen a few improvements to fourteen holes, mostly to solve drainage problems, while having 200 trees removed.

How impressed is the USGA with Erin Hills? Thus far, they have held the 2008 USGA Women's Amateur Public Links Championship (Tiffany Joh) and the 2011 USGA Men's Amateur Championship (Kelly Kraft). And in 2017, Erin Hills will host the men's U.S. Open Championship.

This is a walking-only facility; motorized carts and pull-carts are not permitted here. The rate is $200 and while caddies are not required, they are recommended; the caddie fee per-player is $50.

Very fun golf course. Great shape for the most part. Very friendly staff.

Fast and Hard, Greens were like lightning, and fescue was thick and long. This is an extremely challenging course even without the 20 to 30 mph winds the day I played it. Outstanding course and staff, strongly suggest renting a caddy, because it is a difficult course to walk. It is expensive but totally worth it to play a US Open venue.
