Lanark Golf Club
Whitelees Rd
Lanark, W5 ML11 7RX, United Kingdom

Lanark Golf Club is advertised as the 25th-oldest golf club in the world; the first six holes opened in 1851, although Old Tom Morris did the first formal 18-hole layout in 1897. James Braid oversaw further changes in 1927. Since the course lies on substrate of glacial sands, it drains freely and is playable year-round, weather permitting. The layout is tough but fair and has hosted R&A tournaments and championships on eleven occasions.

Visitors are welcome on weekdays; the standard walking rates are £42/round or £54/day (carts are £20/round or £35/day). Shoulder-season rates and other specials are listed on the club's web site.

A excellent moorland course, easily the best in Lanarkshire. Course drains well and often plays quite fast. Greens are fast and true. A great day out.

What a great course, some beautifull holes and lovely green condition. This coupled with fantastic scenery in a country setting. On a sunny day spectacular, worth every penny

If it's a dry summer then the greens will be like lightening. Lovely course, some cracking holes. Just quite hard to find the course!!
