I could be considered a golfing snob and have never particularly cared for 9 hole courses, but playing this place was a true ear to ear grin the whole way round. Three holes though really stood out. The par 5 6th, played around a loch, if you hit a long ball, what fun it must be to go for the green in two across the loch. Then the par 4 8th, with a massive downhill second. Go long or left and you're in the Atlantic. And then the par 3 9th, particularly from the 18th tee, 155 yards, across the Atlantic onto a green. Long and your dead, left and you are in the ocean. Two bunkers guard the front, and right isn't too good either. A brilliant hole, and a fantastic day, with superb hospitality.
