The course opened in 1972 with nine holes; the second nine holes were developed between 1988 and 1990. John Jacbos, OBE has done some design work, although the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority have not made clear on their web site whether it was the first or the second nine. This 18-hole parkland-style public-access course includes 10 holes with water in play. The society known as Leaside Golf Club is resident here.
