Hunters Pointe Golf Course
289 Daimler Pky
Welland, ON L3B 6H2, Canada

Hunters Pointe is an upscale modern links course with very few trees and lots of undulating greens, widely acclaimed as a great replica of classic links as they are played in Scotland.

The course, built in 2000, is a rolling landscape of testy mounds, 110 bunkers, water, fescue and bentgrass with the occasional tree. Besides the pot bunkers, there are seven ponds to contend with and strong par-3s, including the 245-yard 8th hole. Accuracy is vital in playing Hunters Pointe. You need to keep your ball in the fairway in order to stay clear of the rough, the bunkers and the mounding.

Good course. Often too slow as they put groups off both nines

It rained all day the day before I played and heavily overnight, thus leaving the course very wet, most bunkers had standing water, and some low lying fairways were soaked, but it didn't rain and wasn't breezy during my round of golf.

I always find this course a challenge, and love the Links style (tree-free), with its rolling hills.

I wouldn't hesitate to bring friends to this course, because I'm sure in better weather conditions, anyone with a handicap index <20 would have a good time (playing from the proper tees).

Love playing it. I find the greens tough to read along with being very quick.
