Developed by the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, We-Ko-Pa (Yavapai for “Four Peaks”) is a daily-fee golf facility that consists of two highly-regarded 18-hole layouts:

CHOLLA COURSE:
Scott Miller designed this layout, which opened in December of 2001 over areas of the Sonoran desert with mountain views, away from real estate development. In fact, there are no out-of-bounds stakes here.

SAGURO COURSE:
Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw designed this desert layout, while disturbing very little natural terrain - a standard practice for this architecture team. In fact, Coore and Crenshaw took extra care to make it a walkable course, while making sure that players have multiple shots to each green, rather than making it a target-style course.

Course was in great shape, but the greens were a little shaggy. Course was flatter than I expected, so there were limited panoramic views. Course was pricey and, although a nice course, I believe there are better values in the area.

Beautiful scenery and a fantastic course with perfect greens.

Played on 11/14. Cholla course was in good condition for just opening after overseed. Greens were fast and true. A little pricey at that time. Only real complaint was the starter. Not very personable and very pushy. I definitely will be back.

Cart paths for a highly rated course were very beat up, bumpy, and not up to standards expected

Fantastic course. Always a challenge to play. Great facilities.

Best one i played in AZ. The scenery is incredible. Target golf. Tuff to play when you haven't played since a while; in particular for northern player who plays from april to october only.

Cholla never disappoints. Every hole is distinctive and challenging. Outstanding practice facility. Would rate this #1 in the Phoenix area.

Well worth the money. Immaculate condition and beautiful scenery.Played the Cholla course. This is what desert golf is all about.

This is probably the best looking golf course in Arizona. The layout is very challenging and the condition of the course is immaculate. The practice range and greens make most country clubs jealous. The cost is high during peak season but just think if you are out there during this time you probably haven't played golf because of the winter you are vacationing from. Just make sure this is not your first round off the plain because this is TRUE target desert golf.

Gorgeous course with spectacular views and in great condition. It is expensive to play, played the Saguaro course. Would like to return to play the Cholla course.
