This 9-hole course was designed by five-time Open champion and prolific architect James Braid, and opened in 1904 just outside Machynlleth, an historic market town in mid Wales surrounded by attractive mountain scenery.

Visitors and societies are welcome, although advance booking is recommended since club competitions take place at various times during the week. The all-day walking rate for visitors is £20 during the summer, £15 during the winter.
