This parkland course opened in August of 1913 with nine holes, the second nine was completed in 1925. When the government ran the M53 motorway through part of the property, portions of the course were altered to preserve an 18-hole layout.

Visitors are welcome at £30 on weekdays, then £35 on weekends after 2:30 p.m. Societies are also welcome with prior arrangement.
