Welcome to what many consider is the friendliest golf course in Northumberland. Dunstanburgh Castle nestles in Embleton Bay near Alnwick and boasts to being one of the finest courses in the area. There are holes to challenge golfers of all skill levels and ages. It is a traditional links course, created by the great golf course architect, James Braid. Set amongst beautiful scenery on the North-East coast of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline, you will enjoy a visit which will stay with you forever.

The course itself is an 18 hole, 6298 yard, par 70 test of your golfing skills. Founded in 1900 and updated in 1922. A true links course which lies in the shadow of Dunstanburgh Castle.

The flora and fauna within the adjoining sand dunes are managed by the National Trust and are without doubt the finest in Northumberland with many rare plant and animal species.

Our clubhouse offers you comfortable and spacious surroundings with a separate restaurant, lounge/bar, toilets and changing rooms with shower facilities for golfers.

Please note we have a fully licensed restaurant which is open to both golfers and to those wishing to take advantage of the beautiful beach of Embleton Bay.

Sit in one of our window seats and sample some of the food and beverages on offer, where you can enjoy views of the course, leading down to the sea and south to the castle before trying your luck out on the fairways, or a leisurely stroll through the dunes.

Good course, played it quite a few times over the sat 30 years and always look forward to going back. Never disappointed!! Not overly long but you have to think your way round. Score card would suggest some easy par 4's but only if you get your tee shot in the right place.

Just when you think you've seen it all. Fantastically natural and stunningly beautiful. Good challenge with fairways wide enough to make it a fair contest

Stunning scenery means it doesn't matter how you play. But if you like old fashioned links courses you'll agree with the five star rating. Parkland it is not.

an excellent course - some long par fours and some excellent short holes. Drive from 6 amazing and great par 3 to the castle
