Four Mile Ranch Golf Club

This Jim Engh design made the 2009 edition of Golf Magazine's "Top 10 New Courses You Can Play" list, and Colorado Avid Golfer magazine named Four Mile Ranch their 2009 Best New Public/Resort Course - all for good reason. The course winds over a former 1,640-acre cattle ranch east of Cañon City, and Engh didn't need to put in bunkers - he made use of existing shale hogbacks on the property. It is a picturesque example of what happens when links golf collides with Colorado's rugged Front Range.

Fremont County residents, military personnel, and juniors receive discounted greens fees here.

last year the course was perfect, now in very bad shape fairways burnt up an almost every tee box dead

Very interesting layout. Only downside are a few blind shots to greens, otherwise a very fun track. Need to know your yardages as greens are very severe with various tiers and mounds. Oh ya, great views!

Course in great condition. Do not play the first time without a yardage book or the front nine will have you asking what just happened. Blind tee shots and a couple of blind greens make for an awesome challenge. Gotta love the Engh design!
