This course is located on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, about 100 km north of Brisbane. The current course features one architectural quirk in the form on consecutive par-3s at 16 and 17. The group known as Horton Park Golf Club is resident at this course. The visitor walking rate is A$50; members of reciprocal clubs and guests of members are afforded various discounts.

In May of 2015, the club will move to a new 27-hole facility located about 8 km from their current location. The new course there is being designed by architect Graham Marsh, which will be named Maroochy River Golf Club.
