Played the Lakes as a single on a frosty afternoon with firm/hard fairways and greens. Very few people about but allowed to play through when caught up to other group. Greens could do worth a roll as still showing "tang" marks? Overall in good nick, and worth a shout at the price

Great walk fantastic views and well kept, greens are a little bare in places but at least there's a local rule that lets you move the ball out of holes ruts on the green

Lovely sunny day, good hospitality & a friendly club/hotel.
Went on a Friday 25.07.14 but not too busy & w felt really relaxed going round. The Lakes course was in good condition & I was informed that the whole venue was going through a transitional period from the last owners. I must say it's a nice course & venue and we will definitely be back ;-)

Played the course today (8 March 2014) and considering the rain we have had in the last three months the course was in good condition. It was still wet underfoot but the fairways are drying quickly and this is an excellent challenging course.
The hospitality is first rate and excellent value.

played the lakes course on 16.03.11 front nine was shocking the greens were terrible, and the layout of these front nine holes were very basic and just not inkeeping with the back nine and original holes , the back nine was much better and a joy to play why o why they have made 27 holes and split the original 18 holes up I will never know these new holes are nowhere near the standard of the others .
