Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed this course, which opened in 1975 on land that is crossed by a steep river bank which gives the course a sloping aspect. Over the years, the club has hosted the Volvo Tour's El Bosque Open, the Mediterranean Open, the PGA European Tour's Senior open.

The standard visitor walking rate is €85 (carts are €35).
