True North Golf Club
2500 True North Dr
Harbor Springs, MI 49740-8517, United States

231-526-3300
True North is a "true" masterpiece designed by 2004 Golf Course Architect of the year Jim Engh. True North opened as a private club, but is now allowing public play based on availability throughout the season. The course is laid out on over 300 acres of the most beautiful northern Michigan land imaginable. Large elevation changes allow for exciting golf and many vistas with remarkable views. True North is probably the finest conditioned golf course in northern Michigan if not the entire state. Be sure to play this gem if you are within 100 miles as it will be totally private in the future.

Recently went private again. Its expensive, but a one time must play. Top 5 in Michigan, might even give Arcadia a run for its money.

top five in the state a must play

Awesome course! Almost every hole has drastic elevation changes and these were some of the best greens I have ever played, especially considering it was early May, when many courses are still trying to get up to speed. I liked this one as much as Bay Harbor, not quite as much as Greywalls but it is a must play. We had a deal dropping the spring rate from $80 to $40/person but $80 is still a good deal. I cannot see paying $160, but I wouldn't do that for any course except some of the pro courses.
