Albany GC is located on the south coast of Western Australia and is an actual links design that runs along sand dunes with views of King George Sound. In fact, the course is an excellent place from which to watch whales calving between the months of July and October. Windswept fairways are typical links-land, with swales, undulations, and fast greens. The first nine holes opened in 1898, while the second nine debuted in May of 1963.

The successful Australian golfer Craig Parry has described Albany as his favorite Australian course, due to its location hard by the ocean and the variable winds.

Visitors are welcome, but on Wednesdays through Saturdays, advance booking is recommended due to club competitions. The standard fee is A$35; carts are also A$35.
