Ashburn Golf Club now has two courses 11 miles apart; this is the club's original location with the "Old Course," a Stanley Thompson design that opened in 1923. The 18-hole, par-67 layout is a relatively short but tight-and-twisting affair that offers views into downtown Halifax.

Ashburn GC's other course ("New Course") is a Geoffrey Cornish designed that opened in 1970 and is located 11 miles north of this location in Windsor Junction.
