Forest Dunes Golf Club
6376 Forest Dunes Dr
Roscommon, MI 48653-9073, United States

This highly-regarded Tom Weiskopf design opened in 2002 and ranked 72nd in the United States by Golf Magazine. Due to the hundreds of pines and rolling terrain, some golfers have compared Forest Dunes with Augusta National and Pine Valley. One Golf Digest writer said that while Forest Dunes may not be as visually striking as nearby Arcadia Bluffs, Forest Dunes is the more "complete" course. In August of 2014, owner Lew Thompson announced that he had retained the "neo-traditionalist" architect Tom Doak to design a second — and reversible — course at Forest Dunes.

This is one of those rare top 100 courses that permits public play; the peak-season (June-September) walking rates are $119 on weekdays, $149 on weekends and holidays. Various specials and stay-and-play packages are available, as are memberships.

The club's toll-free telephone number from within the United States is 866.386.3764.

Had a great round here last week. Course is amazing, immaculate in every way. It is friendly to all levels of players as long as you can putt on greens that are very fast. It's pricey but I can see where the fees are going. A must play course.

What a beautiful course. The scenery is breathtaking. The greens were very fast and true. You need to hit the practice green before any round here. the sand is everywhere so hit a few from the practice bunker. The practice facility is complete. Make sure to allow yourself time to take advantage of this feature. I will definitely find my self there again!

This is the best course I have ever played. Believe the hype you read about the course, it is all true. The course is challenging, but is set up to be player friendly. No need to be "scared" that you can't play it because your not a single digit handicapper.

Outstanding!, My second favorite course ever played.

I took a stroll through a beautiful and serene land and found a golf club in my hand. Tough but fair. I had a terrible ball striking day. Greens were fast. Not many flat spots. Bunkers were soft and fluffy. I recommend you hit a few from the practice bunker because there are bunkers everywhere.

Service is unbelievable at this magnificent course.

One of the best courses in Michigan. Highly recommend playing this course. Second best only to Arcadia Bluffs. Staff is friendly and course was in excellent condition. Pace of play was perfect. Would play the course on a regular basis if I lived closer.

One of the top 3 public courses in Michigan. If you can find a special on the internet or sign up for their e-mail, you can get some great rates.

Best and fastest greens around. An absolute pleasure to putt on them. Great layout. Difficult, but very playable.

You cannot play a better course in the midwest. Great service. The layout is superb. Conditioning is top notch. Do yourself a favor and play it before it goes private.
