We had the distinct pleasure of playing this course a few days before they closed. This is just another gem of the Tidewater lost along with others, like Cahoon Plantation and several other Munis.

Mid-week prices are very good for a golf course of this quality. The greens are pretty quick. The water views are excellent and the course is very challenging. There is an island green on #17. If you haven't played it you really ought to.

Very nice course, with fast greens! I mean King's Mill type fast. It is a challenge but still very playable. Some long par 4's may need to be treated as a short par 5 so you are playing for a 4 or 5 vice getting in trouble and getting a 6 or worse. Staff, practice tee and green where great, and holes 15, 16, and 17 where a lot of fun.
