You don’t need to be an expert sniper to score on the golf course but the par 68 layout has a lot of hazards and tight driving holes to make up for what it lacks in distance. The front nine is the more challenging one where average players will find the most trouble. Water comes into play on almost every hole and you will need to be wary of holes Five and Six where the man-made pools can be downright intimidating. The Fifth is a very short dog-leg par-4 and two well-struck wedges can get you in regulation if you can keep out of the yawning hazard in front of the green. The Sixth is an island green, the signature hole of Camp Aguinaldo Golf Course, that requires a well-struck middle iron off the tee.

You’ll need to bring your accurate iron play to bear on the back nine and if it deserts you, you’ll have to rely on your short game as five holes are likewise zealously guarded by water. The Thirteenth is a long par-3 with a big tree and two sand traps guarding the green and a par will be a very good score to make. After going through these tough holes, you’ll enjoy the Eighteenth, which is a short par-5 that can easily be reached in two if you are able to avoid the trees on both sides of the fairway, and birdied to make up for any strokes lost in the preceding hole.
