First real course I ever played. Came back and stupidly played thru injury and still had a great time. What public course doesnt get crowded? Figure out when the off peak times are and you'll score.

Start on the putting green and you'll be able to see most of the course. The first four holes go across the face of the mountain (hit it straight or at least, not right) and it opens up after that. A fun variety of holes with a nice grill at the turn...order a burger and a birdie and pick them up in a few holes (the burger is guaranteed, you have to do the work for the birdie).

Played this course on Wed, 5/1/13. Course in excellent condx. They do not discount for Veterans, Fire or Police. $60 for a weekday was high. They do honor the Golf Coupon book, got ten bux off. Don't think I'll be back. Rangemaster made sure play moved. No delays at all. They even chased geese off the par threes, all near water!!! Greens and fairways excellent condx. Was told it was a Morris County course, run by Billy Casper, hence the price. Club house, restaurant well stocked albeit expensive. Old man behind counter was strict, but polite. They may honor county cards, but none of our foursome was Morris County resident.

This is a county course that is on the side of a hill. Neat layout, but the fairways were a little rough. Didn't think it was worth the money. No rangers on the course keeping up the pace of play. We had an extremely slow 4 some in front of us that caused near a 3 group backup on par 3 holes. ALmost a 5 hr round!

Agree with comments about the upkeep of the course. Used to have it rated 4 stars but had to change to two stars as it is in horrendous condition. The 5th hole fairway is virtually all mud. Most holes on the frount have large bare patches with many on the back in similar condition.

The greenskeepers burned the fairways! It's in horrible shape!

Just played this course again 7/31/11. What a difference a year makes. In 2010 is was a superb course in amazing condition (October). This year apparently the fairways and tee boxes of the first 9 holes are scarred from a disease ravaging them. The back 9 seems ok, but the front 9 is in real rough shape. I mean half of the fairways on some holes were mud. I hope the course can fix this and get the course back into the shape i remember this being. As a bonus, they only charge you half of the rate to play now a days.

A great county course. Price is higher than normal for a county course, but well worth the extra money. Veiws are breath taking. Fairways are alway in great shape and the greens are consistant yet a little on the slow side. Birdies can be made even for higher handicaps if drives are in the fairway.

This was a great course to play at. It's a little expensive for a county course. We didn't wait at all. The greens and fairways were very well maintained. The staff was very friendly. The views from the first couple of tees (top of mountain) were awesome!

The 1st tee is near the top of the mountain, and you work your way back down to the club house. the holes were relatively flat... not what you'd expect from a course on a mountain.
