Wawona Golf Course
205 Wawona Station
Yosemite Nat. Park, CA 95389, United States

209-375-6572
The Wawona Golf Course, just across the road from the Wawona Hotel (now a National Historic Landmark), opened in 1918, was the first golf course in the Sierras, and is now the only golf course in a national park. Another unique feature of this course is that it is organic, using only reclaimed water (don’t drink the water on the course) and no fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides of any kind. They handle their weed problem with weed whackers and bare hands. The course is one of the less than one percent of the golf courses nationwide with membership in the Audubon Society.
