The original course here was designed by three-time Masters champion Jimmy Demaret. Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw designed a new nine to blend with Demaret's original layout, resulting in 27 holes. Incidentally, the Legends of Golf event, which led to the creation of the Senior PGA Tour / Champions Tour, originated at Onion Creek. The course's namesake body of water affects play on 11 holes. The "Crenshaw Nine" here serves as holes 5 through 13.

Great courses, played the Original and Original North fronts, and I can't wait for the opportunity to play it again. Was disappointed that although there was a tournament coming in behind us, there was no snack bar opened and the clubhouse does not carry anything.
