Memorial Park Golf Course
1001 E Memorial Loop
Houston, TX 77007-2049, United States

713.862.4033
Memorial Park Golf Course opened in 1923 with nine sand greens, but later expanded to a full 18-holes course that hosted the Houston Open from 1951 to 1963. A major reconstruction / renovation was undertaken from 1994 to 1995, resulting in a restored course, new practice facilities, a new clubhouse, and a museum built using materials from the original club house. The course now hosts over 60,000 rounds each year.

This course is owned and operated by the Houston Parks & Recreation Department, so it is very much open to the public. Tee-time reservations can be made at 713.559.2000. The standard walking rates are $30 on Mondays through Thursdays, then $38 on Fridays, weekends, and holidays (carts are $11/person). Junior, senior, 9-hole, and twilight rates are available.

This was the first time playing Memorial Park and just so happen it was in a tournament put on by The Lone Star Golf Association. Had a great experience and plan on playing Memoreial again.

A great municipal course and the pace of play was very reasonable. Greens were a little slower than I was used to.

Everyone should play this course

Proximity to downtown and cheap rates are the positives, but 18 holes will take you 4.5 hours, count on it.
