Coyote Ridge Golf Club

Carrollton, TX 75010-3223, United States

Coyote Ridge Golf Club was created with the golfer who plays the game for enjoyment and adventure in mind. It's difficult to find another golf course in the North Texas area that offers two very distinct layouts within one golf course. Coyote Ridge is Wild Enough To Intrigue You, and Tame Enough To Bring You Back.

The front nine plays like seaside links - open, rolling, and breezy. Picturesque greens, well-framed with water, sand and native grass bunkers challenge the golfer on every hole.

The back nine, a tighter, totally different experience, twists and tumbles along an old Trinity River gravel quarry - now lavishly landscaped with natural grasses, blooming seasonal flowers and hundreds of oaks, pecans, and elms. You'll quickly realize that Coyote Ridge golf is a new breed of golf.

Great layout with fast true greens

Great place to play. Pace was great played in 4 hours.

I think #10 is a horrible hole even with the in cart gps we were clueless as to where to hit every shot. Cost me a pretty good round. Greens were very fast but rolled well.

Everyone we encountered was very friendly and concerned we were enjoying ourselves. Food and service in the clubhouse was excellent.

Greens were very fast and the course was over watered causing a very messy slushy course. Way to crowded - took nearly 6 hours to play 18 holes. Beers are too expensive ($4 per beer) and range balls are not included in green fee. Several holes on the back 9 are next to an existing land fill. Fairways are very close together causing delays due to people playing shots from your fairway. Most par 4s and 5s are cart path only causing you to have to carry 3 or 4 clubs with you to hit your shot. This also slows play down too much!!!!

So I started playing here when it had a trailer for a proshop. I left for many years then recently came back. After a few years this course was overran by its near by community which made pace of play 100% terrible and I never went back until last month. Sam Moon purchased this golf course and turned its clubhouse into one of the best around private clubs included. Really nice staff but the the course still is the course which is decent in areas but the front nine after hole #4 is pretty below average. 5 holes into the wind no matter what time of day or year your playing. THe back nine is ok, #10 and #11 are terrible holes with #10 maybe being the worst par 5 in DFW. So that makes #5-#11 not worth playing for free. If you are ok with that then its a good time, I probably will not be back unless I get a real good deal or they have the only tee time when I need to play. Great club house and staff, top notch.

Oh yeah, hands down the hottest cart girls this side of Vegas.

Most of the people in Clubhouse/Outside are friendly, course/greens okay, not wild about the layout, but about the 8th hole we get this nasty warning from the Marshall that we are 9 minutes behind the group in front of us (we are a 4sum) following a (3sum) and the GPS on the cart starts beeping every two minutes. In addition there is a 30+ mph wind all day from the West(which made it a little harder for me to play any faster) and on number 9 the maintenance guy parks his tractor right in front of the tee box and leaves it running, so we have to tee off over the tractor and the noise! Between the Marshall wanting us to run after every shot, the very annoying beeper on the GPS, and the rude maintenance man on #9.. it took any potential joy out of what was a decent round prior to that. I wont be back ever!!! And I also refused to spend another dime in the Clubhouse, (I would have ate lunch and had a pop.) There are many more enjoyable courses in the DFW Area. My suggestion, skip this one unless you can run like a coyote!!
