Tanglewood Golf Club
53503 10 Mile Rd
South Lyon, MI 48178-8244, United States

This 27-hole facility is alternately known as "The Lion." William Newcomb designed all three nines here; the North and South opened in 1991, while the West opened shortly thereafter. Most holes are relatively open, while water is the chief hazard here and bunkers are fairly moderate. The signature hole here is West #6, which features a green that imitates the mitten-shape of the state of Michigan and a replica "Mackinac Bridge" over the water hazard.

A residential development surrounds, but generally does not intrude upon, the course. Walking is permitted only on weekdays at $25. Twilight, junior, and senior rates are also available.

Other than the bunkers, the course is in excellent condition.
Practice green needs to be revamped. Staff is top notch.

Very quick greens. Maintenance was impeccable other than one very over-watered fairway. In early June the rough was very long and tough to get a good lie.

Seemed nice. Definately liked the West 9 better.
