The course provides serious golfers a challenge and can be enjoyed by all. Optimal green-to-tee transitions and minimal steep grades make the course an enjoyable walk. At the end of a round, golfers are rewarded by the magnificent vista of the signature eighteenth hole.

Mesa Verde has been the site of more professional tour events than any other course in Orange County. Winners of the five PGA tour events staged here include Billy Casper and "Champagne" Tony Lema who had his first PGA Tour win at MVCC. Nancy Lopez won two of the six LPGA tournaments. The club also hosted the inaugural Toshiba Senior Classic and the USGA Girls' Junior Amateur Championship.
